Ritu is a HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist (Health) and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over 23 years of experience in both NHS and private healthcare settings. She is also a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. Her clinical background includes roles at leading NHS Trusts such as King's College Hospital, The Royal Brompton & Harefield, and The Royal Marsden, specialising in the psychological care of patients with complex medical conditions.
Ritu provides comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based therapy for adults referred by GP's, psychiatrists, and medical consultants. Her particular focus incorporates the interface between mental and physical health. Ritu supports patients in managing the emotional impact of chronic illness, medical treatments, and long-term conditions. Her expertise also includes the management of anxiety, depression, stress, lifestyle change, and health-related adjustment. More recently, Ritu has extended her specialism towards the management of neurodevelopmental conditions such as adult ADHD.
Ritu offers a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic approach, delivered primarily via remote sessions to ensure accessibility. Her interventions include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy and mindfulness-based therapies.
